Uh oh.  After favorite Adam Lambert lost out to Kris Allen on the finale of “American Idol”, allegations are now flying that AT&T may have helped Kris win.  Local AT&T reps from Kris’ home state of Arkansas are said to have helped his fans each cast 10 or more text message votes at one time through “power texts.”

These votes were made over demonstration phones brought by AT&T reps to two local Kris Allen viewing parties in Arkansas on the night of the final performances.

AT&T is also a major sponsor of American Idol.  Neither they, Kris Allen, or Adam Lambert have commented on the situation.
