Howard K. Stern’s Arraignment Moved Up

Anna Nicole Smith’s former lawyer/lover/friend Howard K. Stern will be headed back to court one month earlier than had been previous scheduled as the date of his arraignment has been moved up. Stern faces charges of conspiring to keep Smith with a steady supply of prescription drugs, despite knowing that she was an addict. Two doctors also face charges.

Smith died unexpectedly of an accidental overdose of prescription drugs in 2007 in a Florida hotel room. Prosecutors are now said to be re-investigating the events that lead up to her death, which has led to the arrest of Stern, and Dr. Sandeep Kapoor and Dr. Khristine Eroshevich earlier this month.

Stern has been scheduled to be arraigned in a Los Angeles court on May 13, but the date has now been moved up to April 7. Dr. Eroschevich is also scheduled to appear in court on this date.

The two doctors also face an additional charge of obtaining a prescription for opiates by fraud, deceit or misrepresentation and prescribing opiates by giving a false name or address.

Stern and the two doctors all face up to 33 years in jail.

The premiere of Nasser Entertainment’s television biopic – Anna Nicole – about the late Playboy model and former reality TV star is at least a few months off yet. However, the trailer for the film, which stars actress/model/singer Willa Ford, has been revealed. In the film, the scantily clad Ford plays a “small town girl… who dared to make… her dreams come true.”

More fuel to the fire that Larry Birkhead is gay. Moe Brighthaupt has been quoted as saying that Birkhead was nothing more than a sperm donor for the late Anna Nicole Smith because she liked his look. Here is what he told Access Hollywood:

“She told me that [Birkhead] was a homosexual. She knew deep down that he didn’t want to be with her.”

“(she wanted a baby with him) Because of how he looked, she figured ‘My child would look great — blonde hair, blue eyes… My baby will come out beautiful.’”

So, it sounds like Birkhead is now the world’s best paid sperm donor. I don’t see that record getting surpassed anytime soon.
