Brittany Murphy was found dead in her home on Dec. 20, 2009.  Almost immediately, rumors began to swirl about the potential cause of her death — drugs, anorexia, her husband, and so on were all thrown out there.  Some reports suggested that she was sick before she died.  More than a month later, we still don’t know the cause of her death and due to some recent revelations, it looks like it will still be another few weeks before anything is fully known.

The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office is attempting to fill in some very large gaps in her medical history. Murphy was reportedly suffering from severe anemia and other conditions, and was under a doctor’s care.  While the Coroner’s Office received medical files from her doctor, it appears as though her last visit was months ago.

According to the pathologist assigned to the case, Murphy’s friends and family said that other doctors treated her during her final months.  Now, the Coroner’s Office is looking for the other doctors to determine what her medical condition was prior to her death.  They also want to know what medications may have been prescribed by the other doctors.

The toxicology report is also not yet finished.  After the report reveals the drugs that were in her system at the time of death, they will then determine if the medications were prescribed to Brittany or someone else.

As it was previously reported, investigators found a number of medications in her home after her death.  They found medications prescribed to Murphy, her husband Simon Monjack, her mother Sharon Murphy, and “unidentified third party names.”

It is said that the Coroner will not release the cause of death for weeks now. Earlier this week it had been rumored that next week would be when her cause of death would be revealed.

Brittany and Simon married in May 2007.  The actress recently told OK! Magazine that they’re hoping to have a baby “soon.”

She added:

“I hope to have a few.

I’ve always loved kids and babies and always wanted to be a mom.”

While the couple are getting busy and hoping for a baby, they’re playing mommy and daddy with their new Maltese puppy.

Maybe Brittany Murphy has been too scared to cut her hair after Britney Spears cut chopped all of her off a few years back. Either way, can someone get the lesser known Brittany to a hair salon.

Appearing on  The Late Show with Craig Ferguson, Murphy talked about two upcoming film projects that will be hitting screens in the near future. She’ll be seen in “Poor Things” with Shirley MacLaine this year and the one that I really am looking forward to Sin City II which will be released in the first half of 2010. Hopefully she gets a haircut in the meantime.
