While playing polo in Barbados as part of an effort to raise funds for his African children’s charity, Prince Harry was thrown from his horse. It appears there were no serious injuries – unless you count his massive ego.

We’ve all heard Pants on the Ground by now but maybe Taylor Swift should write a song called Grammy on The Ground. The Country singing sensation dropped a one of the many awards she one walking out of the show yesterday. Whooooooops.

Whoever does the marketing at Dreamgirls, a San Diego strip club, deserves a raise. Dreamgirls hired a plane to do a flyover of the PGA Tour Tournament this weekend sent a message to the Tiger that read “We Miss you too, Tiger! At Dreamgirls”.

For the second year in a row, Rihanna missed the Grammys opening act. Ok, to be fair, last year she missed the entire awards show because she got beat up by Chris Brown. This year she just missed the opening act, and it was her own darn fault.

Rihanna showed up a few minutes late to the awards show, and security guards wouldn’t let her in the theater. Apparently when the organizers say to be on time, they mean it. Rihanna was thus forced to stand outside the doors with a crowd pressing up against her until the opening act was over. She was seen craning her neck to catch Lady Gaga and Elton John’s performance on a TV screen.

Following a Banner Year for Bad Movies, voting members of The Golden Raspberry Award Foundation have sifted through the cinematic rubble and selected what they consider to be last year’s Berry Worst “Achievements” in Film. In addition to 2009’s top under-achievers, The Gala 30th Annual RAZZIE® Awards will dis-honor The Worst of the “Uh-Ohs,” with special awards for the Worst Picture, Actor and Actress of the Decade in ceremonies scheduled for Hollywood’s Barnsdall Gallery Theatre at 7:30pm/PST on Saturday, March 6 — the now traditional Night Before the Oscars.

So what happens when you are caught in a closed bank drunk as a skunk with a loaded weapon? If you are actor Rip Torn, you head straight to rehab. His lawyer, speaking on his behalf in front of a judge today, told the court he was going to go to rehab for his drinking. The police report says that the soon to be 79 year old asked police why they were taking him out of his home during his arrest and had a blood alcohol level of almost 3 times the legal limit.

Tila Tequila has diarrhea of the fingers — she can never shut up when it comes to social networking. She always has something to say, and half the time it turns out to be false. The world may have been spared, at least temporarily, when Tila decided to finally ditch Twitter and delete her account, a la Miley Cyrus.

Tila has promised to quit Twitter before, but what finally pushed her to action seems to have been mean comments about a photo of what she bought her 3-year-old nephew.

Before pulling the plug, Tila said:

“Look at the hater comments being left on this pic! HOW SAD THAT PEOPLE TALK S–T ABOUT A 3 YEAR OLD KID,” Tequila wrote in the early morning hours of Monday. “Twitter, by FAR as THE MOST HATEFUL, DEVIL WORSHIPPERS, RACIST, AND VIOLENT COMMUNITY THAT I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED! TWITTER IS BAD.”

It’s probably for the best. The media-whore needs to sort out what is real and what’s not real in her life right now, because I don’t know if she even knows anymore.

This one is not a rumor and comes straight from her publicist’s mouth:  Kristen Bell is engaged to Dax Shepard. A source told Us Magazine that Shepard, 35, proposed over the holidays and her publicist confirmed the engagement.

Bell, 29, showed off her sparkly new ring on the red carpet of the Grammy Awards on Sunday evening.

The couple first stepped out publicly in January 2008. Congrats!

Well, it didn’t take long for that rumor to be debunked.  As it turns out, Drew Barrymore is a bit of an online-phobic individual and doesn’t even have a Facebook account on which she could share her engagement news.  The Facebook page which claims to be her is being deleted and Barrymore’s rep said that there’s no engagement.

The whole Jay Leno vs. Conan O’Brien dust-up at NBC may be over with, with Conan having left the network, but celebs are still taking sides.  I think it’s pretty safe to say that we can now add Joan Rivers to the list of those on Team Coco.

According to PageSix she recently took a jab at Leno, stating:

“We all love to go to sleep to him. He’s better than an Ambien.”
