When Demi Lovato checked into rehab last year rumors swrilled that "exhaustion" was really a code word for the teenage dabbling in cocaine. When asked about the rumors she told Fabulous Magazine:
“It’s something I don’t really want to talk about. What I can say is that I was depressed. I would come off stage in front of 18,000 people and suddenly be alone in a hotel room. I’d come crashing down and would try and find a way to recreate that feeling to stay up.”
Lovato also says that concert promoters provided drugs and alcohol for the star while she was on tour.
Willie Nelson has been an unrepentant smoker of marijuana for decades and celebrated what is the biggest pot smoking day of the year by revealing a statue of himself in his home Austin, Texas, to commemorate the "holiday". Austin Mayor accepted the statue and endured the strong smell of wacky tabaccy while honoring the country music legend.
Nelson kept his legacy of promoting smoking cannabis by unveiling a new song entitled "Roll Me Up and Smoke Me When I Die" along with his enduring classic "On the Road Again" during the festivities.
Jeff Conaway, who starred in Grease, television classic Taxi, and had was a member of celebrity rehab on VHI, died Friday. Conaway had a long battle of substance abuse and was recently in a coma after an overdose. Conaway was 60 years old.
If you happen to visit Paula Abdul's house and get offered a brownie you may have to think twice about eating it. Kara DioGuardi told George Lopez that on a visit to her house she was offered a nice tasty desert.
"The maid at the time found these brownies in the freezer," she recalled. "She took them out, put them in the refrigerator, and I hadn't really eaten much that night... They were these little nuggets, little, you know? I take six, not a lot."
Hours later, she knew something was wrong when she started hallucinating. She adds:
"'I don't even smoke pot. I was hallucinating, I was on an IV. I stumbled out like a junkie... it was bad news. The maid took one and she was in the hospital—I had six, I almost died."

Amy Winehouse is back in a familiar spot - rehab. The singers reps issued a statement today that read:
"She has embarked on a treatment program at the Priory Clinic. She wants to be ready for performances in Europe this summer and decided to seek an assessment. She will remain at the Priory on doctors'
According to People Magazine, Winehouse started hitting the bottle heavily and was urged to check herself in by her father. Luckily, she didn't so "I won't go" like she sang a few years back in the song about rehab.

Kurt Cobain's widow says she hasn't done drugs since 2005 (yeah right) and she was so addicted at one time it destroyed her sex life (I can believe that one because who in their right minds wants to get it on with a junkie). The Hole singer told sobriety journal The Fix:
"All the drugs just neutered me. When I was on drugs, I felt like this nunnish, non-sexual person. After I stopped doing drugs I started to fuck like a bunny! Before that I suffered from years of celibacy. I was on this whole Morrissey kick, no masturbation, no romance, no nothing! "The store was completely closed. My self-imposed chastity was only supposed to last for two years, but it went on for three years, eight months and six days. My addiction is just about feeling comfortable in my own skin. I don't like losing control. You couldn't pay me a billion dollars to take marijuana. I don't really like coke anymore. I’m scared of ecstasy."
2010 was a difficult year for Demi Lovato and the fallen Disney star has thanked fans for their support after a breakup with Joe Jonas and a well documented stint rehab. Lovato posted this status message to her fans on Facebook that read:
I wish to thank all the friends and fans who voted for me for the People's Choice Awards and the Hot Hits Hottest Teen Stars of 2010. I want to make sure my fans know how thankful I am for all their love, support and prayers during this difficult time. Thank you for standing beside me through it all.
