The loudmouth, red-headed comedian you either love or hate - Kathy Griffin - will soon be expanding her presence on Bravo as the network announced that it has green-lighted a one-hour weekly talk show, "Kathy", hosted by the star of their Emmy winning reality series "My Life on the D List." The talk show will premiere this spring.
In addition to the talk show, Bravo has also picked up to more Griffin comedy specials for 2012, bringing the total number of specials that she's done for the network to 15.
"Kathy" is designed to reflect Griffin's thoughts on everything pop culture. She'll rant on the week's biggest headlines and tabloid gossip, as well as feature some celebrity interviews, stand-up routines, and taped segments.
30 Rock's Tracy Morgan has found himself in a bit of hot water after he made quite a controversial remark during a pre-game chat with the hosts of Inside the NBA on TNT.
Kenny Smith started things off by announcing that Morgan was the only person who could settle an arguement that he and Charles Barkley struggle with "all the time" -- who'd ya rather: Tina Fey or Sarah Palin?
The entire group laughed at the idea that "Morgan can't get fired" over his response. So, Barkley baited him, saying "Sarah Palin's good looking isn't she?"
Morgan's response shocked not only the hosts, but viewers as well. He said:
“Now let me tell you something about Sarah Palin man, she’s good masturbation material. The glasses and all that? Great masturbation material.”
Not unsurprisingly, emails and phone calls soon flooded TNT and within minutes the network issued a statement
It seems that everyone and anyone in Hollywood is a fan of "Glee". Well, here's at least one guy who is not only NOT a fan, but he actually HATES the show. Slash told Entertainment Weekly:
"Glee is worse than Grease and Grease is bad enough. I look at Grease now and think, 'Between High School Musical and Glee, Grease was a work of art.'"
Bad news for Katie Holmes. One of the few projects that her husband Tom Cruise has let her work on will never see the light of day, at least not in the US. The History Channel has decided not to air the much-anticipated 8-part miniseries, The Kennedys, this spring.
The miniseries starred Holmes along with Greg Kinnear. It was reportedly axed because it was not a good depiction of the actual history. A source revealed:
“While the film is produced and acted with the highest quality, after viewing the final product in its totality, we have concluded this dramatic interpretation is not a fit for the History brand."
Translation: the still-powerful Kennedy family did not like it.
The miniseries will air internationally, but not in the US.
According to Us Magazine, Katy Perry has landed a guest starring role on How I Met Yor Mother. She'll play the love interest of Josh Radnor's character Ted. The network is billing her role as "a beautiful, naive girl who the gang resorts to calling 'honey'."
Carter Bays, the show's co-creator and executive producer said in a statement:
"Katy is a tremendous talent and we are delighted to be able to work with her."
Ending speculation that Miley Cyrus may have outgrown her role on her top rated Disney show Hannah Montana comes news that she has signed an extension with the show. The Hollywood Reporter reported that the new installments will be filmed in early 2010.
Nearly 4.5 Million people tune into the show that made Cyrus the biggest star this century at Disney.
Conan O'Brien was spotted shooting a segment for his show "The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien" in Hollywood yesterday. O'Brien, of course, takes over the chair from Jay Leno on "The Tonight Show" on Monday.
Enjoy "Jon & Kate Plus 8" while you can't - this is likely to be their final season. Unless of course, TLC can work around a divorce. According to sources close to the couple, the pair are headed towards a nasty $10 million divorce, and are already fighting over their bank account.
Uh oh. After favorite Adam Lambert lost out to Kris Allen on the finale of "American Idol", allegations are now flying that AT&T may have helped Kris win. Local AT&T reps from Kris' home state of Arkansas are said to have helped his fans each cast 10 or more text message votes at one time through "power texts."
These votes were made over demonstration phones brought by AT&T reps to two local Kris Allen viewing parties in Arkansas on the night of the final performances.
A year ago, Jennifer Lopez was in talks with TLC to get her own reality show. JLo didn't want to feature her twins in the show, and wanted to instead focus on behind the scenes of creating a new J.Lo fragrance (yawn!). TLC, however, wanted the kids in the show and wanted them to be the focus. I guess they never came to an agreement, and now TLC could careless with the enormous success that they've
