Apparently not even marriage will be able to get Britney Spears out from under her father's control. A Los Angeles judge granted Jason Trawick, Brit's fiance, his wish to become her co-conservator on Wednesday.
Spears former agent-turned-lover had petitioned the LA Superior Court earlier this month to become her co-conservator. Now that his request has been granted, he will share the responsibility with the pop star's father, Jamie Spears. Jamie has maintained legal control of Britney since February 2008.
People magazine reports that Jamie is thrilled with the court's decision.
Trawick, 41, will not have control of Spears multi-million dollar estate or career. He will, howeer, share responsibility with her dad for her "general well-being", including decisions regarding food, clothing and medical care.
The current status of Britney's conservatorship is said to be more of a formality than anything. Her father sought to control her affairs in 2008 after a series of erratic behavior that ended with Britney spending some time at the UCLA Medical Center.
