Did Katy Perry and Russell Brand split up because she's a party girl and he wants to settle down? Or what about the rumor that Russell had some freaky fetishes that turned out to be just too much for Katy to handle? The real reason behind the couple's split might soon be revealed in a song. Katy is said to have begun writing songs about their breakup.

The Sun reports that Katy began to write when her relationship with Russell started to crumble, and friends of the singer claim that she's started to write songs about her heartbreak. A source revealed:

"Ever since problems started to emerge, she penned her thoughts in a diary which she goes back to to draw upon for lyrics for her songs. She has always said that writing is almost a form of therapy for her and she would often be found in her dressing room on tour writing in her diary. She spent a lot of time in Hawaii over Christmas writing lyrics to two of her latest tracks."

It wouldn't be the first time that Katy has written a song about one of her break-ups. The song "Circle The Drain" from her hit album Teenage Dream documented the reason behind her split with Gym Class Heroes frontman Travie McCoy, blaming his drug use.

Katy Perry and her husband of just 14-months, British actor/comedian Russell Brand, spent the holidays thousands of miles apart before announcing that they were getting a divorce. It didn't really shock anyone, but one of the reasons for the split might raise some eyebrows. One sources says that while Katy was kinky in their first sexual encounters, Russells fetishes were just "too much" for her in the end.

The source revealed:

"Katy was kinky enough during their first times together and he was very attracted to her. When things got bad, if they got a roll in the hay, they were always better after."

But, the fetishes became too much. The source added:

“He likes dirty things. He really gets off on one particular porno with a guy in a wheelchair. He’s attracted to things he can’t imagine happening to him.”

Zooey Deschanel and her husband Ben Gibbard announced that they were separating back in November 2011. The actress is now seeking to make the split permanent, and has filed for divorce.

Zooey filed for divorce in Los Angeles on December 27. The filing lists the official day of separation as October 31, 2011, which was Halloween day.

Gibbard, the frontman for Death Cab for Cutie, and Deschanel married in 2009. They blamed their split on the ever popular "irreconcilable differences."

All it took for Sinead O'Connor to abandon her plans of divorcing her husband of just a few weeks, Barry Herridge, was a little fun in bed. The Irish singer took to Twitter on Wednesday to brag that the estranged newlyweds have reunited after their brief break-up. She wrote:

"Guess who had a mad lovemaking affair with her own husband last night?" the Irish singer wrote, noting that "mother----- who dont like it ...so me all happy!! me love me hubby ...he love me ...f--- who no like it ...God is good!"

O'Connor said that she and Herridge will try to perfect their marriage over time. They first split after being married for just 16 days. She previously complained that she felt like she was "living in a coffin" in the marriage. What apparently did them in was a scary hunt for marijuana on the streets of Las Vegas following their impromptu wedding on December 8. O'Connor then swore off marriage and said she doubt she'd even try dating again.

Kim Kardashian has long insisted that she and Kanye West are just friends, but Kanye's ex girlfriend, Amber Rose, reveals otherwise. In fact, in an exclusive interview with Star magazine, she revealed that the reason she and the singer split was because of Kim's cheating ways.

Amber told the magazine:

“Kim is one of the main reasons why me and Kanye are not together. She’s a homewrecker!”

Amber says that she was dating Kanye when he and Kim, 31, hooked up. Kim was also seeing someone else, NFL star Reggie Bush. Amber, 28, says:

“They were both cheating. They were both cheating on me and Reggie with each other.”

Amber says Kim instigated the affair by calling, texting, and sending racy photos of herself to Kanye:

“She was sending pictures, and I was like, ‘Kim, just stop. Don’t be that person,.’ I thought at least she’d be woman enough to respond to me. She never responded.”

Amber added:

“It’s very important that us women stick together and we don’t f**k each other over like that.”

In a way though, Amber is happy with what went down. She is currently dating Wiz Khalifa and credits Kim with helping her find true love:

Elisabetta Canalis recently said the "M" word (marriage), and George Clooney went running. According to the two, who were together for two years, they have parted ways.

Clooney's rep said:

"We are not together anymore. It's very difficult and very personal and we hope everyone can respect our privacy."

Canalas had revealed earlier this month that she eventually wanted to get married. She had said:

"'I am a firm believer in marriage, in the future I will be married, but for the time being I am happy as I am."

George Clooney has a reputation of being a commitment-phobe, and has made his stance on marriage pretty clear, saying that "once was enough." He was married to Talia Balsam from 1989 to 1993.

Canalis had also told the magazine interviewing her:

"I could never be with someone who every time he opens his mouth says he doesn’t want a child with me or to marry me."

Perhaps she finally realized that George would never change and would never marry her.

Any 25-year-old woman hooking up with a mega-rich 85-year-old man isn't in it for love. It's all about the money, and I think that's what most of the world was thinking when Playboy founder Hugh Hefner announced his engagement to Crystal Harris. The story is even more twisted than you could have imagined: Crystal had apparently planned to dump Hugh at the altar at their wedding, which was being filmed for her upcoming reality television show.

It would have been a major sensation for the show, and would have netted her a lot of money. Harris, however, decided not to go through with that evil plan, and instead dumped him five days before the wedding. She didn't have a change of heart though. The only reason she changed her mind was that she wasn't getting the kind of money that she hoped for. Crystal wanted upwards of $500,000 for a tie-in interview. There was interest, but not for half a million dollars.

In other related news, Crystal has reportedly been seeing another more age-appropriate guy on the side for the past four months. She denied that Jordan McGraw (son of Dr. Phil McGraw) was the reason for her split with Hef.

Jake Gyllenhall infamously dumped Taylor Swift not too long ago, but the two were spotted out together again this week. The two were seen having dinner together at a restaurant called Bound'ry, which is near Taylor's home in Nashville.

A witness at the restaurant said:

"They did eat. They were cordial to one another, but not affectionate."

Jake supposedly broke up with her on the phone, so maybe that was his obligatory face-to-face meeting to truly finalize things.

Shakira and her boyfriend Antonio de la Rua dated for 11 years. They broke up in August, and we're only just finding out about it now. Shakira explains in a letter she wrote and posted on her blog:
