Did Katy Perry and Russell Brand split up because she's a party girl and he wants to settle down? Or what about the rumor that Russell had some freaky fetishes that turned out to be just too much for Katy to handle? The real reason behind the couple's split might soon be revealed in a song. Katy is said to have begun writing songs about their breakup.

The Sun reports that Katy began to write when her relationship with Russell started to crumble, and friends of the singer claim that she's started to write songs about her heartbreak. A source revealed:

"Ever since problems started to emerge, she penned her thoughts in a diary which she goes back to to draw upon for lyrics for her songs. She has always said that writing is almost a form of therapy for her and she would often be found in her dressing room on tour writing in her diary. She spent a lot of time in Hawaii over Christmas writing lyrics to two of her latest tracks."

It wouldn't be the first time that Katy has written a song about one of her break-ups. The song "Circle The Drain" from her hit album Teenage Dream documented the reason behind her split with Gym Class Heroes frontman Travie McCoy, blaming his drug use.

Katy Perry and her husband of just 14-months, British actor/comedian Russell Brand, spent the holidays thousands of miles apart before announcing that they were getting a divorce. It didn't really shock anyone, but one of the reasons for the split might raise some eyebrows. The source revealed:

Zooey Deschanel and her husband Ben Gibbard announced that they were separating back in November 2011. The actress is now seeking to make the split permanent, and has filed for divorce.

Zooey filed for divorce in Los Angeles on December 27. The filing lists the official day of separation as October 31, 2011, which was Halloween day.

Elizabeth Hurley's divorce is now finalized, following her December 2010 split with her businessman husband, Arun Nayer. According to People magazine, the reason cited for their divorce was "unreasonable behavior."

Hurley, 46, and Nayer married in 2007 in an over-the-top, star-studded affair. They got married in an English castle and she donned a traditional Indian wedding dress. They dated for four years before marrying, so it's not like they rushed into things.

Jaime Pressly is having a crap year so far. Earlier this month she was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence, she owes $1 million in back taxes, and now she's divorcing her husband.

Jaime, 33, filed court documents in Los Angeles Superior Court on January 21, in which she cites irreconcilable differences as the cause of the collapse of her marriage to Simran Singh. The two were married for one-year. She states that the marriage ended on December 27, 2010.

Jaime took her husband's last name and is also requesting to have her name restored to Pressly.
